The Prairie Thunder suffered their first loss this season, 7-4. It was a tough night all around starting with Rob Guinn night. There wasn't a dry eye in the house.

It was one of the best come from behind rallies the P.T. have ever had. Down 4-1 and eventually won 5-4. It was one sweet win.

It was Fight Night and Fright Night on this Freaky Friday as the fans came dressed for the fare. Four fights and 44 shots couldn't fend off the Lumberjacks'as we fell 4-2.

Ryan Ludzik took a turn in net this Friday for his first home appearance. He did well, but the scoring wasn't there as the P.T. lost 4-1. Their record of 4-3 puts them in the middle of the pack.

Our Prairie Thunder are getting back on track with a couple of wins of late. This 1-0 shutout was just what the doctor ordered. And it was even a power-play goal that gave them the win.

Don Parsons broke the all-time goal scoring record for a professional minor hockey league player tonight. 678 goals isn't just a lot of pucks, it's a tribute to his effort and dediction.

The game was exciting and fun, but our boys came up on the short side of a 3-2 OT loss. A point in the standings is still a point in the standings.

This was one of the most fun games this season. Our home town boys picked up a win in a 9-player shoot-out. Rookie, Mike Kusy, got the goal; Ludzik got (and deserved) the win.

The Prairie Thunder set a franchise record of 8 consecutive games without a loss by winning another one in a shoot-out. And yes, that Fankhauser behind the bench as Skalde got tossed in the 2nd period.

The Prairie Thunder beat Port Huron in OT after scoring with 0:39 left in regulation. A hard faught game, it let all the other teams in the league know that we plan on grabbing a playoff spot .

It was Shriner Night at the Coliseum and the older boys got to take a lap around the ice. However, the younger boys came up short in a 3-0 loss to the perennial powerhouse of Fort Wayne.

This is the last home game for 2009 and the boys finished it off well. Three fights and a win in a shootout will keep the fans thinking about next year right through the summer.
